I bumped into Oklahoma woman Valerie Thompson at a recent Motorbike event. If you think you can’t do something think again. Well you will anyway after hearing this biker’s pursuits. Valerie is the fastest female motorbike rider in the world. I kid you not!! Just imagine 326 miles per hour to her credit. She luckily walked away from one crash – speed over 348 mph. Not to be put off by such an event Valerie is again preparing for the Bonneville salt flats in the USA – a well known speed record venue. Australia is next on the cards. Taking the trophy of fastest person on a motorbike is her goal. Not that I recommend everyone to go out and try this – Thompson is a very professional and experienced motorbike rider and it is certainly not for the feint hearted. Nevertheless the point I’m making is ordinary people are capable of achieving the most extraordinary things. For some it is racing, others performing, those who face physical and emotional challenges and make themselves get out everyday to live their lives as fully as possible and it is also parents who are raising children to be the best they can be. Now that is a major achievement:)
